For Teens Inspired, I was inspired by the "Veiled Flowers" painting by Hobson Pittman. This painting is in the North Carolina Art Museum. His piece was done with oil paint and he was from American culture. This piece really inspired me because basically any type of flower to me is pretty. I have always seen so many paintings and drawings of flowers and have always wanted to do my own. I decided to do this piece in water color with a touch of pen and ink. The pen and ink help make the piece look finished and fix any jagged edges. I was very pleased with how this piece turned out and want to do more flowers because of this piece. Not only was I inspired by his flowers but I was also inspired by his color scheme. I wanted my vase to complament the flowers so I added a touch of blue to the flowers to help. Below I have attached his piece.
